We enjoy monthly Kiddush luncheons following Shabbat services to celebrate our members' birthdays and special occasions. Members are invited to have an Aliyah in honor of their special occasion.

BAGELS WITH THE RABBI
One Sunday morning bi-monthly, Rabbi Schonberger holds a class on a topic of interest. Minyan is at 10 am for those who would like to attend and the program begins at 10:30 am with the lecture until noon. There is no charge for bagels but reservations are appreciated

Csanad Szegedi, a founder of the Hungarian Guard, a group who espouses Anti Semitic rhetoric and Holocaust denials, learns that his grandparents are Jewish and that his grandmother was a survivor of Auschwitz. The film follows his journey as he embraces his newfound religion
MINYAN AND A MEAL
Several times a year our congregants enjoy “Minyan and a Meal” . Minyan is held at 5:45 pm with a casual supper and program following. We have enjoyed hearing from local broadcasters, members who have taken noteworthy trips abroad, authors and more. At our January "Minyan, Meal and a Movie" we enjoyed watching a movie following dinner.

Schmoozing with Shmulik
This group meets on the last Monday morning of the month from 10:30 am until noon. Sam Kooperman leads the group with stories, jokes and music in Yiddish. Laughter can almost always be heard coming from the room! Coffee and pastry are provided.

JEWISH CHRISTIAN DIALOGUE
This monthly program is in its 40th year and was originally begun by Father George Balasko and Rabbi Samuel Meyer for the purpose of encouraging fellowship, and improving understanding and acceptance between Christians and Jews. Rabbi Joseph Schonberger began leading the group with Father Balasko 18 years ago. The group meets the first Wednesday of the month at Temple El Emeth and has grown to include the Hindu, Bahai and Sikh traditions.
Refreshments are served at 12:30 pm with the session beginning at 1:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.

VOLUNTEER AT THE LIBERTY COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY
The Liberty Food Pantry is hosted by Church Hill United Methodist Church in Liberty. A monthly distribution of food to needy families takes place on the first Friday of each month. Volunteers are needed to work the first Thursday of the month from 7:00-8:00 p[m to unload food and set up. Volunteers are also needed the first Friday of each month from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm for the distribution of food.
